"Color Is The Language Of The Poets…'

“Mere color, unspoiled by meaning, and unallied with definite form, can speak to the soul in a thousand different ways. ”

My dress of many colors🙂
I worked in a tie dye shop a few years back. It was a great experience. Before that I had never tie dyed anything. I always liked it,I had owned it…but never had the honor of twisting it up myself. I learned quickly though! We also sold lots of bright dresses to go along with the tie dye. I went out with Torey Searcy Photography to capture some of them on film!

The Greensboro Arboretum was a perfect spot for this Summer shoot! Lots of wonderful plants to provide a natural backdrop. No shoes needed. I’m a barefoot hippie at❤
“We colour the world,
Not with the darkness of our pasts,
But with the rainbow of our hope.”

I felt like a tie dye princess in this flowy dress! The colors in it were magical! I can never choose a favorite and I think that is why I love tie dying so much!

“Color directly influences the soul. Color is the keyboard, the eyes are the hammers, the soul is the piano with many strings. The artist is the hand that plays, touching one key or another purposively, to cause vibrations in the soul.”
~ Wassily Kandinsky

That Summer my whole wardrobe became tie dye🙂 The joy of working in the shop was that if you got a stain on ANYTHING…odds are you could just dye it!
Torey is known for his black and white photography. They are some of my favorite photos of myself!
“When you photograph people in color, you photograph their clothes. But when you photograph people in Black and white, you photograph their souls!”

“Happiness is a color that you can never run out of. You can paint a picture or an illusion with happiness. It’s a color that you always pick, before actually choosing a color.”
~Lionel Suggs

Color is the language of the poets. It is astonishingly lovely. To speak it is a privilege. ~Keith Crown
